The air quality in Delhi has been deteriorating for the past few weeks, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching “severe” levels on several occasions. This has raised concerns about the health of children and teachers, who are especially vulnerable to the effects of air pollution.
The early winter break will give children and teachers a much-needed break from the polluted air. It will also allow schools to take steps to improve indoor air quality, such as installing air purifiers.

The Delhi government has also taken other measures to address the air pollution crisis, such as banning the use of diesel generators and restricting the use of private cars. However, it is clear that more needs to be done to improve air quality in the city.
