In a statement, the WCD department stated that the first 1000 days of a child’s life are a period of both tremendous potential and vulnerability since they have a significant impact on a child’s ability to grow, learn, and flourish. Ama Kunipila is a campaign to institutionalize the home-based care of children under three years of age by encouraging parent-led stimulation programs for their brain development.

Scheme’s Primary Components involve:

  • Raising parents’ and caregivers’ understanding of the significance of the early years.
  • Engaging kids with inexpensive toys made by parents.
  • Storytelling

The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, stated that kids are the country’s future. “If children are given the right education, healthcare, and environment from infancy, they can become great citizens,” he added.
