UP Government Launches AyushmanBharat Enrolment Drive for Better Healthcare

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a special outreach drive to ensure that every person eligible for the Ayushman Bharat scheme gets enrolled. The drive, which will continue till December 31, aims to cover all the 3.48 crore people who are eligible for the scheme in the state.

The Ayushman Bharat scheme is a national health insurance scheme that provides a cover of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary healthcare. The scheme is being implemented in all states and Union Territories of India.

The UP government has set a target of enrolling 1 crore people in the scheme during the drive. To achieve this target, the government has set up over 20,000 camps across the state. The camps will be open from 10 am to 4 pm daily.

The government has also launched a toll-free number, 181, to help people with any queries related to the scheme.
