1. Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
2. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or equivalent like SLET/SET. Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations are exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
3. Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings by QS, THE, or ARWU.
4. For certain disciplines where NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by UGC/CSIR, these tests are not mandatory.
