Eligibility 2024:
40% of the vacancies will be filled by Bihar State Health Service cadre members.
Another 40% will be filled by candidates with postgraduate degrees from medical colleges within Bihar.
The remaining 20% will be filled by candidates with postgraduate degrees from recognized institutions outside Bihar.
Minimum educational qualification: Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
In scarcity of suitable candidates, those with a diploma equivalent to a postgraduate degree may be considered.
Such candidates will receive 10 additional marks equivalent to postgraduate degree holders.
However, their position in the merit list will be lower than those with postgraduate degrees.
Candidates with degrees equivalent to the eligibility criteria of the Medical Council of India are also eligible.
