Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes I to V

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), following the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
3.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
4.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
5.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Individuals who have acquired the Bachelor of Education qualification from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. Such individuals must also undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of appointment as a primary teacher.
6.
Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Any candidate who has qualified the B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Additionally, individuals pursuing teacher education courses specified by the NCTE or the RCI are also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
