The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Competitive Examination – 2023 (Advt. No. 01/2024) is scheduled for 17th March 2024 (Sunday) in two shifts across different districts of Jharkhand state. The first shift will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Focusing on General Studies (Paper I), while the second shift will be from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM, concentrating on General Studies (Paper II).
JPSC Admit Card 2024 Instructions:
- Admit cards won’t be sent by post. Candidates need to download them from the JPSC website.
- Visit www.jpsc.gov.in from 12.03.2024 onwards and download your admit card using your Registration Number, Email ID, or Phone Number along with Candidate ID and Password.
- If you face any issues, call the Helpline Numbers: +919431301419 / +919431301636 / +918956622450 on working days from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM till 2024.
- Bring 4 self-signed color photographs of the downloaded admit card, attendance sheet, and the photograph provided during application along with a valid photo ID to the exam center. Without these, you won’t be allowed to appear for the exam.
- Read the instructions on the admit card and OMR sheet carefully before filling any details. Incorrect information could lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Use a blue/black ballpoint pen to fill in the OMR sheet. No other pen types are allowed. Remember to bring one with you to the examination hall.
JPSC Selection Process 2024:
The selection process for the JPSC 2024 involves two main stages:
- Preliminary Examination: This is an objective type test that serves as the first stage of selection. Candidates who qualify here move on to the next stage.
- Main Examination: This stage consists of a written test followed by an interview. Successful candidates from the preliminary exam proceed to this stage. Final selection for various services and posts is based on performance in the main exam and interview.

The criteria for preparing the selection list and merit list are as follows:
- Candidates need to obtain a minimum qualifying mark of 40% in aggregate. To be considered by the Commission for the Main (Written) Examination selection list and Interview Test merit list.
- Minimum qualifying marks vary based on the category, with relaxations as shown in the table.
- Marks obtained in Main Examination Paper ‘I’ (Language – General Hindi and General English) are not included in aggregate marks calculation or for merit list preparation.
